How to Turn on Smart Features and Personalization in Gmail Settings

Gmail with MemoriaCall offers various features to help you stay organized and efficient. One of these features is the ability to automatically create events in your Google Calendar based on information from your emails. To take advantage of this feature, you must make sure that Smart Features and Personalization are turned on in your Gmail settings. Follow the steps below to enable this feature and start seeing your events automatically created in your calendar.

Gmail Settings -

Open Your Gmail Account

To begin, you can open your Gmail account in a web browser. If you haven't already signed in, enter your email address and password to access your account.

  1. Access Gmail Settings

    In the top right corner of your Gmail account, you will see a gear icon (⚙️). Click on this icon and select “See all settings” from the drop-down menu.

  2. Go to the “General” Tab

    Once you are in the settings menu, click on the “General” tab. This will bring up a list of general settings for your Gmail account.

  3. Enable Smart Features and Personalization

    Scroll down to the “Smart features and personalization” section. Here, you will see an option to turn on “Smart features and personalization.” Make sure this option is checked to enable the feature.

  4. Save Your Changes

    After you have enabled Smart Features and Personalization, be sure to save your changes by clicking the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

Show Events Automatically Created by Gmail in Your Calendar

Now that you have enabled Smart Features and Personalization in your Gmail settings, you can start seeing events automatically created in your Google Calendar. Follow the steps below to ensure that this feature is enabled in your calendar as well.

  1. Open Your Google Calendar

    Open your Google Calendar in a web browser. If you are not already signed in, enter your email address and password to access your calendar.

  2. Access Calendar Settings

    In the top right corner of your calendar, you will see a gear icon (⚙️). Click on this icon to access your calendar settings.

  3. Select Event Settings

    From the settings menu, select “Event settings” from the left panel. Make sure that the settings for “Events from everyone” and “Invite others and see guests” are both enabled.

  4. Enable Events from Gmail

    Next, click on “Events from Gmail” in the left panel. Here, you will see an option to “Show events automatically created by Gmail in my calendar.” Make sure this option is checked, and select “Only me” from the drop-down menu to keep the privacy setting as you prefer.

  5. Save Your Changes

    Finally, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Congratulations! You have successfully enabled Smart Features and Personalization in your Gmail settings and set up your Google Calendar to automatically create events from your emails. Remember, this feature relies on Gmail’s ability to recognize relevant information from your emails, so make sure to keep it enabled.
